SEGA 32x Tech Demo Video

SEGA’s Genesis system offered a lot in expandability. You could add Master System compatability, a CD-ROM attachment or a secondary procesing system called the 32x. The 32x was a substantial upgrade to the Genesis’ hardware and allowed for some fantastic video and audio effects. Check out this technical demonstration video that shows what this piece of hardware was capable of. The spinning and zooming at the beginning reminds me of video projets on an Amiga I worked on in high school. I wonder if we would have seen retail games that looked this good and smooth if SEGA had not rushed the Saturn’s release, abandoning the 32x?
